Backward Schedule Planner
A fill-in sheet for scheduling every round of a bracket backward from the venue's hard end time, so you find out before event day whether the bracket fits.

The most common way a tournament falls apart is discovering at 7 a.m. that the bracket needs more hours than the venue has. This worksheet forces the schedule to be built the other way around. Start from the time the lights go off, subtract the awards, then place the final, the semifinals, and each earlier round so that every round finishes before the next one has to start. If the first round lands before doors open, the bracket is too big for the day and you still have time to change something.
Fill the slot column with a realistic match length plus changeover, and add a buffer between rounds rather than trusting that every match will run to time. The example rows show a sixteen slot single elimination bracket; delete the rows you do not need and add a second final slot if a double elimination grand final can be played twice. Rows for play-ins and pool play are included because they consume time blocks just like bracket rounds.
